HEIGHTS SECTION:

These houses are over 5 years old and pay full taxes.  They're modest 2 families with a

131-133 St Pauls.jpg (152328 bytes) brick facade and vinyl sided.... very typical style...  These 2 house on St Paul's Avenue in the Heights section of JC pay  $9,276  and $8,413!

Below you'll  see a photo of  a   neighbor's building with graffitti all over the security grates...  hardly a    $ 9,000+ neighborhood!!!

Photo to the right......  Directly across the street on St Paul's Avenue.   The newer yellow brick house pays about $8400 in full taxes.  There's no abatement.  Certainly not the Manhattan views of the Sugar House!!!

Is this block worth $9276/ year in taxes?  The Sugar House yes but not here.....

Remember:  the cheapest Sugar House condo selling for $520,500 pays  $7,774 annually.  The condo won't pay full taxes until year 21----- 2022!  By then theses houses will be paying $20,000 or more..... Who's going to buy them when buyers can pay less on the waterfront?  It'll just be more urban decay with the working class neighborhoods subsidizing the rich!

GREENVILLE - NEAR KENNEDY BLVD

Below.....  These are 10+ year old houses, probably new when the property tax reval took place in 1987.  They're on this obscure street-  Kearney Avenue which is a mix of residential and industrial.  You really have to visit to appreciate their location which can't be captured in a photo...  These 2 houses pay $7400 and $7600.  The photo to the right is a view of the same block, across the street, industrial neighbors.  244-246 Kearney.jpg (131888 bytes)
